The Polymers Technology Center houses three Leistritz Extruders: Leistritz ZSE Maxx 50mm (40:1), Leistritz ZSE Maxx 50mm (44:1), and Leistritz Maxx 27mm (40:1), in our compounding facility. We are happy to have these innovative machines to meet the research and production needs of our customers. With this equipment, the Polymers Technology Center can take on the tasks of homogenization, deagglomeration, dispersion, and distribution of additives, fillers, and liquids into the polymer base.
Leistritz has a strong reputation for manufacturing state-of-the-art co-rotating twin screw extruders, having built extruders for more than 80 years. Leistritz twin screw extruders feature high volume, high torque capabilities. In addition, the extruders include effective heating and cooling technology and a system of screw elements that make for a variety of screw design options.
At the Polymers Technology Center, our engineers are there to identify the best layout of the screw geometry for our customers’ unique compounds. The optimal design will result in a higher output rate, lower melt temperature, and a highly homogenized melt. This flexibility also allows us to process a wide range of materials.
